Full residential renovation with structural modifications

The Rodriguez Residence was a comprehensive home renovation that required careful planning, structural coordination, and strong schedule management. The scope included the complete demolition of a detached studio, the renovation of three bathrooms, including the relocation of one, and a full kitchen transformation.
To create an open and functional kitchen, we removed a structural wall and installed a metal beam with supporting columns. This change also required partial roof reconstruction to properly integrate the new layout.
The project also included new impact windows and new sliding doors, bringing in more natural light and improving the home’s connection between interior and exterior spaces.

This project tested scheduling more than anything else. With multiple trades, inspections, custom materials, and structural modifications involved, sequencing became critical. A delay in the kitchen cabinets caused by a paint issue required us to adjust the construction flow while protecting the client’s move-in timeline.
Rather than rushing the final stages, we reorganized the schedule to maintain quality and reduce stress for the homeowners.
This project strengthened how we manage time and expectations:
The Rodriguez Residence confirmed that a successful renovation is not defined by how fast it moves, but by how well it adapts. By allowing flexibility in the schedule, we were able to finish the project before the client’s move-in date, turning a potential challenge into a positive experience.
This project reinforced a key principle we carry into every renovation, thoughtful planning and flexible scheduling create better outcomes for both the build and the people living in it.
The Rodriguez Residence reflects our commitment to planning with flexibility, so our clients can move forward with confidence.
